Shown here in 1935 is the late Harry Farwell Brown [son of Kendrick W. Brown and father of Farwell Tilden Brown] in his Ames garden with its silvered gazing globe. The once familiar piece of art is popular again [2011] and available in garden stores. Set on a pedestal, the mirrored basketball-size orb reflects the garden's blossoms and foilage. Harry Brown, an avid gardener and amateur horticulturist, maintained a beautifully landscaped garden at his home at 1011 Kellogg Avenue.
