Westbound C & NW steam locomotive at the Kellogg Avenue crossing. Photo taken in the 1950s before the crossing guard tower shown here was removed. Shortly after this picture was taken, the crossings at Duff and at Kellogg were controlled by a single tower located between the two. Looking northeasterly toward building which has housed Ames National Bank and Ames Stationers on southeast corner of Kellogg and Main. (See also: 100.544.1-2)
