In 1928, Wilford Gerbracht leased the 80-acre field that is now less than a mile south of Ames on the east side of Highway 69. The hangar was moved to this site from Gerbracht's original field on east Lincoln Way. The new field was dedicated on May 20, 1928. Photo is courtesy of Ann Pellegreno. (See also: 136.748.6)
