Members of the Adams family holding up the Army-Navy "E" (for excellence) award presented on March 29, 1944, to their company, Collegiate Manufacturing, for their efforts in producing raincoats for the armed forces. The celebration was held in the Ames High School auditorium with many dignitaries--the governor of Iowa, congressmen--in attendance. The three brothers and their mother are shown here, left-to-right: Chev Adams, Lynn (Mrs. M. Jay) Adams, Frank Adams, and Clint Adams.
