Looking at the interior of the upper area of the Bauge log home which is presently (2002) located in McFarland Park northeast of Ames. Gives a good idea of how the roof was constructed. Some of the children in the Bauge family slept in this area. The moving, in 1988, and reconstruction, beginning in 1990, of the cabin were projects of the Ames Heritage Association.
