A plaque designating evangelist Billy Sunday's birthplace and the Cory Family [Sunday's mother was Mary Cory] Cemetery was dedicated by the Ames Heritage Association [name changed in 2004 to the Ames Historical Society] on May 31, 1992. The cemetery is located off of South Duff Avenue south of the entrance to Interstate-30. This cemetery is under the jurisdiction of the Ames Public Works (Building and Grounds) Department.
