Bob Williams, shown in 1922 when he was the bugler at Camp Kooroq, the Boy Scout camp held near the Des Moines River west of Boone. He was also the bugler for the Boy Scout winter camp held in the Ledges State Park. A 1925 Ames High graduate, Williams operated his shoe repair business on Main Street until retiring in 1964. The Durlam & Durlam men's clothing store (1998) is located where Williams' shop was for many years. (See also: 168.939.1-3)
