Wilford Gerbracht's airport in the bottom lands east of the Skunk River on old Lincoln Way in the late 1920's. Here, an Ames resident gawks at the Hisso-powered 7000 Travel Air plane named "Pegasus." The plane was one-of-a-kind because it had a cabin for four passengers and the pilot sat outside to "feel the wind and hear the wires." (See also: 123.678.1-4; 126.692.1; 126.683.1-6)
