A boys recreational program was conducted by Iowa State College coach Hugo Otopalik in the summer of 1926. With the Lions Club providing the transportation, the group spent an afternoon at Ledges State Park. The photo shows outing participants gathered for the return trip to Ames. Boys included: Bob Cunningham, third from the left; Harvey Engeldinger, standing in far back; Ken Allen, sitting at right front; and Farwell Brown, standing at far right. Drivers were Milo Manning, sitting front left; Harry Brown, standing at the left, and Hugo Otopalik standing in rear at right. (See also: 34.170.4-6)
