A.F. Allen was the secretary of the Ames Building and Loan. Allen was a banker in Blairsburg and in Benton County before moving to Ames in 1911. This photo was taken from the 1915 time capsule in the Youth and Shelter Services building (Municipal Building). The capsule was opened in January, 1996.
