The College Savings Bank, organized by Cheney J. Lynch in 1915, was built on the corner of Lincoln Way and Hayward in 1916. Enlarged in 1962, it became University Bank & Trust in 1966, then United Bank & Trust in 1986, and finally a branch of Firstar Bank of Ames in 1992. (See also: 157.867.1-4)
