Looking east on Main Street in 1947. Hedy LaMarr and Dennis O'Keef were featured in "Dishonored" at the Collegian Theatre (in 1996, Firstar Bank) when this photo was taken. Beyond the theater on the north side of Main was the Wayside Inn (a hamburger shop) and the Mid-Continent Petroleum Corp. (D-X Filling station) at the Burnett corner. Hoversten Furniture, Orning Glass, and Roberson Auto Parts are shown on the south side of Main. J.C. Penney's is shown on the southeast corner. Many post-World-War-II cars are also pictured.
