The coveted Army-Navy "E" award was presented on March 29, 1944 to the Collegiate Manufacturing Co. for their "high achievement" in the production of raincoats for the armed forces. Littlefield; Edward Eberhardt; and an unidentified naval officer. In the back row, beginning with the fourth man, l-r: Clint Adams; unidentified man; Lt. Lisle Minert; Iowa Supreme Court Justice T. Members of the Adams family holding up the Army-Navy "E" (for excellence) award presented on March 29, 1944, to their company, Collegiate Manufacturing, for their efforts in producing raincoats for the armed forces. The celebration was held in the Ames High School auditorium with many dignitaries--the governor of Iowa, congressmen--in attendance. The three brothers and their mother are shown here, left-to-right: Chev Adams, Lynn (Mrs. M. Jay) Adams, Frank Adams, and Clint Adams.
