The coveted Army-Navy "E" award was presented on March 29, 1944 to the Collegiate Manufacturing Co. for their "high achievement" in the production of raincoats for the armed forces. The celebration was held in the Ames High School auditorium with many dignitaries--the governor of Iowa, congressmen--in attendance. The three brothers and their mother are shown here, left-to-right: Chev Adams, Lynn (Mrs. M. Jay) Adams, Frank Adams, and Clint Adams.
