The Curtiss home on Duff Avenue from the 1897 souvenir edition of the Ames Intelligencer. In 1991, this fully restored residence, owned by Joseph C. and Susan Carter, has the address 712 Duff. The house was built in 1892-1893 for the family of Charles F. Curtiss, Dean of Agriculture at Iowa State College, who lived there until 1898 when the family moved into the Farm House on the campus of Iowa State College.
