The west entrance on the east side of Clark Avenue of the 1912 Ames High School building. After the new high school opened, directly across the street from this one, on the west side of Clark, in 1939, this building was used as the junior high school until 1961. From 1961 to 1981, it was a classroom annex to Central Junior High School which occupied the west building. In 1981, the east building was razed and the site is now [2004] a parking lot.
