This is the 1939 Ames High School building, looking north at the front (east) side of the school. This building, on the west side of Clark Avenue, served first as the high school and then (1961-1986) as Central Junior High School. Since April, 1990, remodeled as Ames City Hall, this building has housed city offices and council chambers. (See also: 162.900.1-5)
