Looking west down Onondaga (Main) Street from Duff Avenue intersection in 1908. The Interurban streetcar, which began service in Ames in 1907, is in the center of the photo. Most of the vehicles seen on the business street are horse-drawn. The Lynn Morris Livery Stable is on the right beyond the Ames Hotel on the corner. Horse-drawn hack parked on the street was probably the "College Bus" used to transport students to and from the ISC campus.
