Ames High School (now Ames City Hall) as it appeared in aerial photo in 1950. Across Clark Avenue to the east of the high school was the 1912 high school building that became a junior high in 1939. The 1912 building was torn down in 1981. Note that high school was bound by streets and developed properties. (Olav Smedal aerial) (See also: 164.910.3-5; 164.911.1)
