Clifford M. Sevold (1910-1961) is shown here with an unidentified sales clerk behind the fountain pen counter at the Ames Stationers store at 238 Main Street. Sevold, a resident of Story City, Iowa, was a longtime employee of the store, which did business on the southeast corner of Main and Kellogg Avenue in downtown Ames from 1946 to 1995.
