The Library and Bookmobile will be your best bet for keeping cool this summer as we explore the wonderful world of water! Themes may include oceans, rivers, lakes, even swimming pools and weather.

SUMMER KICK-OFF

Well known author/educator Eddy Weiss of the Chasing4Life Team will be sharing his book as well as exciting real-life experiences. Come and learn all about storm chasing from an expert. Several shows for your convenience.

Join Dewey Bear and Youth Services staff for 20 minutes of action rhymes, songs, and books perfect for the 3-year-old or younger child accompanied by an adult.

For families with young children*, a 45-minute storytime that includes books, music, and more, followed by a related craft activity. Themes change from week to week.

For children entering or just completing kindergarten, a 60-minute program that may include books, music, games, and activities. Each week will be a different theme.

PRESCHOOL STORYTIMES @ the FIRE STATION

For preschoolers and their caregivers, Ames Public Library and Ames Fire Department will share fire safety stories, a simple craft activity, and give tours of the stations.
