Monetary Donations
Monetary contributions from individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations help the Library maintain and expand collections, services, and programs.
Commemorative Donations

Gifts
Celebrate friends and relatives, their birthdays, or other special occasions by making a donation. The Library has a specially printed gift enclosure which you may present to the recipient.

Memorials
Make a memorial donation in honor of a friend, relative, or valued member of the community. The Library will send an acknowledgement to the family of the individual you are honoring.
How to Make a Donation
- Print and fill out the Donation Form.
- Make a check out to "Ames Public Library Friends Foundation."
- Bring the completed form and check to the Information desk or mail to:

Book Donations
Donations of books should be taken to 809 E. Lincoln Way during one of the following drop off times:
Tuesdays: 3:30-5:00pm
Thursdays: 9:00-11:30am
Fridays: 3:30-5:00pm
Saturdays: 12:00-1:30pm
Or by appointment. (Call 239-5663 to schedule.)
