What is Home Delivery?
Ames Public Library’s Home Delivery service provides library materials to homebound residents of Ames and Gilbert.
How does it work?
Library staff select books and other library materials for you based on your reading, viewing, and listening preferences. Library materials are delivered to you once a month by volunteers.
What can be delivered?
books • large print books • audiobooks • music CDs • movies • magazines • and more
Who is eligible?
This free service is available on a short-term or long-term basis for library customers who are unable to visit the Library or Bookmobile due to health or disability barriers.
How do I sign up?
You may apply for Home Delivery services by:
- calling Outreach Services at (515) 239-5641
- sending an e-mail to homedel@amespubliclibrary.org
- downloading the Home Delivery brochure and returning the attached form to:
