Topic -- Galapagos: Islands, Endemics, and Evolution

Presenter -- Jim Pease

The Galapagos Islands conjure up a sense of intrigue and wonder. Six hundred miles off the coast of Ecuador, these islands are home to a host of rare species, both on land and sea. Dr. Jim Pease led a natural history trip there in 2019.  He'll explore the species and their continuing evolution in this presentation.

Jim is a retired professor of wildlife and interpretation from Iowa State University. Having taught thousands of people in the classroom and the field, he now leads international wildlife and natural history tours, among other activities.

Provided in partnership with Ames Public Library and the Big Bluestem Audubon Society.
