Dog Tales was written by local author Kay Marner about Ames Public Library's mascot. A librarian named Miss June has a secret - a dog named Smyles who lives in the library's garage. Follow them on their adventures as they take the bookmobile to its outdoor storytime stops.

Joyful Hearts, a local music group, produced this children's CD promoting childhood and environmental literacy in collaboration with Ames Public Library, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and Iowa Learning Farms.
