A Martin M. Morrison photograph of a Mrs. Taylor and her daughter Ruby posed in a horse-drawn sleigh on Boone Street (later, Lincoln Way) in downtown Ames looking north toward the business district. The buildings of Onondaga (Main) Street can be seen in the background behind the railroad tracks. The tracks were a single-track system. This did not change until 1900. The Lockwood Grain Elevator in the upper far right used to stand on the corner of Duff Avenue and Onondaga (Main) Street. (Photo, courtesy of Robert L. Morrison, grandson of the photographer)
