 
South side of Boone Road (now-1991-Lincoln Way) bridge over Squaw Creek in 1890s.  Shows plank bridge which existed until the first concrete bridge was built there in 1908.  Crowd has gathered.  Best guess is that a drowning had occurred.  Wife of ISC professor drowned in July 1892 (reportedly a suicide).  Also an eleven-year-old boy, Carl O. Olson was drowned in Squaw Creek on July 20, 1892, while swimming with friends.
