 
Erected in 1890 by Union National Bank, this building on northwest corner of Onondaga (Main) and Douglas, cost $12,000 and measured 25' x 90' with two stories and a basement.  Occupied initially by the bank; Beverley & Aplin, Physicians; G. A. Underwood, attorney; the Ames Evening Times newspaper and J. F. Kintzley's barbershop.  In 1992 building housed the Kitchen, Bath, & Home store.  This artist's sketch appeared in Ames Evening Times, January 3, 1893.  (See also: 91.485.2-3)
