Frank Allen on a dray wagon and Charlie Holdredge on a sprinkler wagon in front of Grove's Store on Onondaga (Main) Street in about 1895. Holdredge's job was to dampen the unpaved street when dry weather caused dust. In addition to operating freight service, Allen also ran a dairy farm on north Duff. Grove Bros. occupied part of the Opera house building on the corner of Kellogg and Onondaga. This building, built in 1891, is still in use in 1992. (see also: 139.769.1-3)
