Ames professional photographer Martin Morrison took this picture of three unidentified boys astride the Squaw Creek Bridge, which was still under construction, sometime before 1900. This Chicago & North Western Railroad bridge was opened in 1900 with a two-track system. Before that time, the railroad operated on a single-track system. (Photo, courtesy of Robert L. Morrison, grandson of the photographer).
