On June 20, 1906, this baseball team representing Tilden's Department Store, defeated the Evening Times team, 7-3. The game was played on a vacant lot in the northwest corner of downtown Ames, where the photo appears to be taken. Buell Tilden, captain of the team, is at the far right. (See also: 166.924.1)
