Olsan Building, constructed 1911-1912 at 400 Main Street. First totally fireproof building on Main (Sheldon-Munn Hotel was second). Early example of a poured concrete building. F. J. Olsan & Sons was a retail florist. W. A. Jennings, an employee of Olsan's in the 1920s, also used concrete forming when he founded Economy Forms Company in Des Moines. (See also: 22.111.1-5)
