This photograph of the Congregational Church on the corner of Kellogg Avenue and Sixth Street was taken in 1914. In 1915 when the grade of the street was lowered about nine feet, the embankment surrounding the street became higher. This photograph shows three steps leading up to the grassy area in front of the church's steps on the Sixth Street side. After the re-grading of the street, these were replaced by six steps. This photogrpah shows the church as it was built in 1900; it was extensively enlarged in 1930. (See also: 215.1222.1)
