An Ames residential street before paving was installed, around 1915, shows Douglas Avenue from Fifth Street corner. The Wallace and Mary Greeley house (later the Adams Funeral Home), is on the right on the northeast corner. The first part of the Ames Public Library (constructed in 1903/04) can be seen on the left near the Sixth Street corner. The Reed home is on the left at the corner.
