The Hub on the Iowa State College campus in about 1916 when it served as a U. S. post office and a bookstore. It was originally Dinkey's campus depot, dating from 1892. The Hub was moved in 1915/16 to its home behind Morrill Hall when a streetcar track was moved north of campus. Eventually, a frame structure was added to the rear of the original brick structure and the Hub came to house a copy center, vending machines, and a ticket outlet for the Iowa State Center. In 1983/84 the Hub was torn down and reconstructed according to the plans of the original depot structure.
