When Mary Greeley Medical Center was dedicated on September 24, 1916, its donor Captain W. M. Greeley said, "It gives me great pleasure... that I can contribute something toward the welfare not only of those in need, but also for those who will be here long after we have passed away." Greeley named the hospital in memory of his wife Mary. This photo was taken several years after the building's dedication before any additions were made. Shows original entrance to hospital on Douglas Avenue between Eleventh and Twelfth Streets on east side of street.
