A close-up from the panoramic photograph of the World War I parade of May 20, 1919. It shows the front portion of the medical corps led by Ames physician E. B. Bush who is third from the left in the row of four standing left of center. On the far right in this line is Dr. Benjamin G. Dyer who became Ames' first eye, ear, nose, and throat specialist. (see June 21, 1917 of "Ames Evening Times" for the article about the medical unit from Ames about to enter the war.) The building in the rear of the Sheldon-Munn Hotel is the Post Office on Kellogg.
