The Mono Clan, a young businessmen's club, has a costume party in Smith's Hall on Halloween, 1920. Smith's Hall was located in what is now 213-215 Main Street (1995, home of Ames Christian Supply bookstore and Emerhoff's shoestore). In 1929 the Mono Clan's meeting room was moved to the second floor of the new "Ames Tribune" building on Fifth Street. (See also 152.842.1; 156.864.1)
