Dr. Charles G.[middle initial "J" is incorrect at the bottom of this photo] Tilden was born in Ames in 1871 and was a physician at Iowa State College from 1907 until 1921. He returned to private practice in Kolona in southeastern Iowa where he remained until his death on March 17, 1933. Dr. Tilden was the son of Frederick C. Tilden and was a graduate of medical college in Iowa City.
