This fireplace was inside Timberhitch Lodge, a simulated log cabin that served as Boy Scout headquarters. The cabin originally was located on the north side of Fifth Street between Kellogg and Douglas avenues and housed the area scout executive's office. Troop meetings were held in the cabin. Built in 1922, Timberhitch was later moved first to Brookside Park and then to South Russell Avenue. It was removed about 1928 to make way for a business built on the site.
