Ames High Field House located at Grand and Lincoln Way (site of present-day -1994- Target Store from 1927 to 1962 when new high school was built at 20th and Ridgewood with new athletic facilities. Field House was used originally for Chautauqua events and was located in part of what is now the Municipal Cemetery. Field House was razed in 1965 when the Lincoln Center shopping area was developed.
