Iowa State College students and faculty heading to Marston Hall on the morning of March 6, 1939, came upon this unusual sight--a spreader at the door and a pair of Belgian horses tethered inside. The scene was the result of a publicity prank by the agriculture students honorary (Alpha Zeta fraternity) initiates, who were penalized for their efforts.
