Carr's Bakery on the north side of Main Street between Kellogg and Douglas (223 Main). John Carr operated the bakery for many years. Preceding this time, restaurants occupied this building. On the second floor was the Brown Insurance Agency. Since this time, a new brick front was affixed to this buidling and a new first floor entry constructed. The building was constructed in 1892 by K.W. Brown who had owned the lot since 1866. The first building on this lot (a frame structure) burned in 1886.
