Nevada's Story Hotel (photo taken in the 1950s) replaced the Hutchins House, located across from the Story County Courthouse. Modern and fireproof, the Story was once known for its full range of hotel services. Today (2002), it no longer functions as a hotel, but provides economical apartment housing, especially, but not exclusively, for the elderly.
