Ray C. Cunningham showing one of his kill during a hunting trip to South Dakota. Cunningham was the general secretary of the YMCA at Iowa State College from 1926-1953. After his retirement, he served on the Ames School Board, the city playground commission, and was the Story County representative to the Iowa legislature from 1959-1964. He served on the powerful House appropriations committee and during this time two new Ames school buildings were funded by the state. See also: 95.519.4-5
