Horse and buggy during the 1964 Ames Centennial parade as it travels down Ninth Street. The man holding the horse's reins is Archie Wierson who owned and operated Archie's Goodyear Shoe Repair Shop, at 107 Welch Avenue in the campustown area of Ames. The store, which is still [2000] in operation (though under different ownership), opened in 1936. (See also: 219.1248.1-5)
