Hoggatt School restoration on grounds of Meeker Elementary School at 19th and Burnett Avenue. Restoration was first project of the newly formed Ames Heritage Association. Restoration was completed in 1981. Photo taken before the dedication and before identifying sign was affixed to school. The Hoggatt School (a one-room frame building) was the first school in the Ames School district.
