Once a week for many years, a group of people would gather for "ringing for peace" in the Oakes Ames bell tower at the Congregational Church on the northeast corner of Sixth Street and Kellogg Avenue. This photograph shows a gathering sometime in 1983. From left to right: Hazel Lipa, Eileen Exner, Jean Hempstead and an unidentified woman ringing the bell.
