Roy Thomas standing outside the Sharp log home, which until 1987 or 1988 was occupied by Thomas. The cabin, built by Andrew Bard in 1854, was in 1986 (when Farwell Brown took this photograph) one of only two log cabins left standing in Story Couty. Thomas was a descendent of the builder. From 1901 to 1981 Thomas's cousin, Margaret Sharp, lived in the house which was located northeast of Huxley, Iowa.
