Monument in the Ames Municipal Cemetery for John E. Duncan and Harriet B. Duncan. John Duncan was an editor (1882-1889) of The Intelligencer, Ames's first newspaper. He came to Ames from a newspaper in Eldora, Iowa, and before that he had been with a Wisconsin newspaper.
