Picture, taken during the June, 1996, flood in Ames, shows the water rising under the old interurban railroad tracks over Squaw Creek. Following the demise of the interurban service, the tracks were utilized for many years by the Chicago & North Western Railway. In April, 1995, the C & NW was purchased by the Union Pacific Railroad.
